I was super excited for this because I absolutely adore citrus scents, but they can be tricky to get right. Unfortunately, on my skin this came across as super astringent and smelled almost identical to lemon pledge furniture polish. In the process of returning and there have been no issue so props to Dossier for the easy return process.

It wasn't bad but just wasn't for me. The drydown on me was reminiscent of soapy, powdery orange blossom water. I couldn't figure out what was familiar about this until I read another reviewer mentioning the similarity to 4711. I think that's spot on: it's like my great-grandmother's 4711 soap (more than the EDC).

I have both. The original and the impression. It honestly is better in the sense that it has better projection and longevity. If anything it's a wash, but honestly I think it's slightly better than the original. I think I would be able to tell them apart. Otherwise they are very similar. Even if for some reason you did not think it was similar, I feel that it stands on its own two feet and is a Great scent.
